Spread the Talent

Even if you've never seen an episode of SpongeBob, you've gotta admit this is pretty funny. (For those who haven't seen an episode, Gary is SpongeBob's pet snail. All snails sound and act like cats where SpongeBob lives.)

Apparently the voice talents behind SpongeBob and his friends wanted to prove they were capable of more than just cartoons (or so goes the story they tell anyway). Heh heh. The "Singin' in the Rain" bit still makes me laugh.

Oh Heaven Above, I have not laughed like that in a long time! My 12 year-old came out of her room and asked if I was watching Spongebob. She didn't quite get it at first, but she's a Spongebob fan and we giggled together a second time through the video.

Thanks for the laugh!

"Singin' in the Rain" happens to be one of my favorite musicals, Lisa. It is absolutely hilarious in every possible way. Classic, classic film and considered to be one of the best musicals of all time by critics and audiences alike. You would like it, even without the SpongeBob improvements.

Yes, I do let them watch SpongeBob, although I will admit that I think Squidward, while hilarious, is probably a bad influence.

I watched it yesterday, but I had to come and watch it again. It just gets funnier. Time to watch "Singing in the Rain" again!
